The Philippine Creative Industries Development Council (PCIDC)

About Us

The Philippine government has established the Philippine Creative Industries Development Council (PCIDC) to focus on the development and promotion of the creative industries in the Philippines. This council will play a key role in supporting Filipino creatives across various fields.

The Council is composed of 19 members: 10 representatives from government agencies and 9 representatives from the private sector.

How We Help Creative Industries

The PCIDC is tasked with creating a long-term plan to:
a. Support job creation and employment opportunities in the creative sector.
b. Invest in developing the skills and talent of Filipino creatives.
c. Establish financial mechanisms to support the creative industries.
d. Implement incentives to encourage Filipino excellence in creative fields.

The PCIDC, along with government agencies, is formulating a comprehensive Philippine Creative Industries Development Plan (PCIDP).

The PCIDP shall detail the specific goals, targets, and activities for achieving the council’s mission to empower the creative industries in the Philippines.

The PCIDC serves as a crucial resource for Filipino creatives by providing support, fostering collaboration between government and industry, and establishing a roadmap for growth.
